   Any misfortune that befalls the Dem party is well deserved - they were at the helm and chose moderate centrism as the path forward into the rising tide of fascism, coddling the Manchinema Caucus with treats and bribes instead of looking out for their constituents. Good luck everyone 🍀

     If Trump getting back in power is what it takes for Dems to take an interest in living wages, workers rights, post-secondary education, child labor, climate, healthcare for all, and taxing the ultra wealthy, that's all on them. R's don't win because of the popularity of their policies, never have - they win because the only other option presents themselves as so flaccid, ineffectual, and duplicitous people simply don't see how they will provide any resistance. And they don't 🤷🏻♂️

     True, there might not be a corporate sponsored duocracy to vote in anymore if Trump really becomes a dictator. It's not that the warning signs haven't been there for the last 8 years, but it was simply more profitable and convenient to handle them as "business as usual". Recall how Pelosi promptly seated 130+ sworn Seditionists in Congress at the start of 2021, days before their coup. They continue to fester like a blight on democracy & the opportunity to expand the Supreme Court squandered.

     The problem is, though, that Democrats have bought into the idea that the only way for them to survive as an "opposition" party is to shadow the Republicans but stay only 1 degree to the Left of them, while using the threat of Total Fascism to keep the majority locked in to Almost Total Rainbow Fascism. They can't move further Left because their donors and gentrified base won't allow them to. We need a new party/movement of the Left.
