     @danluu And of course federation is seen as a solution to it while I'd say it makes this particular issue pretty visible (and not sure if it's worse or better, after all centralised ones have things like shadowbanning and jurisdiction-based rules instead).
     For example in cases where some type of content is seen as illegal by one server and not seen as such by another, even when they are in the same jurisdiction.
