     @Moon no yeah they'd have to redo a lot of stuff to make it good.
     
     it would be nice to have some way to control federation.
     it would be nice if moderation teams on multiple instances could collaborate so small instances don't have to build their own teams.
     it would be nice if users had control over who can contact them that isn't a ton of work to manage for people who are somewhere between "i only talk to mutuals" and "i talk to everyone"
