Like, I am absolutely boggled that this is lost on some people?
How many times I tell you to read Trotsky? Specifically Trotsky on fascism? So you can probably infer from that, that I AGREE with Trotsky that the only solution is a popular front engaged in total resistance regardless of whether or not the "liberal" state agrees right? Since you know, I keep telling you to read the guy who said that's how you stop fascism?

@AnarchoNinaWrites In grade 8 we had to choose a famous figure from history and I, not knowing *anything* about *anything* picked Trotsky, and came away thinking "Wow, this guy had some really good ideas and then he got axe murdered for them" and it wasn't until many, many years later I discovered that lots of people *didn't* think he had any good ideas, but I still disagree. (I still know nothing about anything but I feel like 13 year old me wasn't too far off)

@quietmarc Well I agree with 13 year old you, so I guess that makes two of us. But yes, same really. I read Trotsky and went "holy shit, this guy thinks like I do about so much shit, why does everyone hate him, including people who call themselves socialists?"
Took me a while to figure out that they hate him BECAUSE he was right. At least eventually.

@AnarchoNinaWrites I'm not a Leninist either but the thing about Trotsky is that he was a great writer who's worth reading even if you don't agree with him on everything
