     @graf I can't believe it is mandatory. I haven't updated my app or firmware in some time though. The XMR app on the Ledger hardware does not run from the Ledger app but from the Monero desktop app.

     @pinemarten @graf Well using the hardware wallet with other software mitigates it, except for the initial firmware install. And seedsigners are nice, since you can DIY them out of a RPI zero. I think they were forked for Monero, but I don't know if it was finished.

     Also Metamask has a 1 pixel iframe for tracking.
