@dessertgeek I've also noticed that "content creator" as a term is so disliked that people can be quite aggressive and demeaning about the (often fairly young, generally not wealthy) independent media professionals trying to make a living seemingly because they use it as the most common term of art for what they do.

@irina @dessertgeek it's a very dubiously loaded term, I agree, but I'm still not happy about those I've seen being obnoxious to people who use it to describe themselves.

@HauntedOwlbear @dessertgeek I dislike the term too. Calling creative people "content creators" rather than what they are (artists, video makers, writers, musicians, whatever) reduces them to making filling around the ads which are the companies' main payload.
