The argument that "with his 'presidential immunity,' Trump could send S.E.A.L. Team 6 out to assassinate anyone he wants without any repercussions" has, sadly, a precedent in the Obama administration when he used drones to kill US citizens and their children. All that he had to do was declare them to be terrorists. As I recall, the objections at the time were extremely muted and did not include many in the #DemocraticParty leadership.
