     @mangeurdenuage @Moon well yeah, tools don't fix social problems they just change them. i think most of the discourse around AI ignores this factor. AI isn't intrinsically problematic, but the way our society is organized makes basically any new technology take on a sinister character because it can and will be used against you.
     
     maybe that's because people recognize on some level that the common person doesn't actually have much say in what happens.

     @mapachin @mangeurdenuage I just mean that there's nothing unique about our society turning inventions to abusive uses. It is hard to get people to cooperate even if it's better because defection benefits the individual if you can get away with it in a crowd.
