   what's a good small smartwatch that's not an apple watch? the samsung is pretty big.

     @lain i have the garmin venu 2. it's not as smart as an apple watch, but it does exactly what i need it to do (track sleep, show notifications, be able to track gps and workouts when i need it to)

     @lain pixel watch 2? it's 41mm vs samsung's 40mm or 44mm.

     before that i had a versa 4 which is more than a simple fitness tracker but less than a wear os watch.

     I am on my second Garmin, upgraded me and the wife from a couple of vivoactives to the Fenix line, and I gotta say I am very impressed. Vivoactive was good, but fenix is amazeballism.

     Compared to The galaxy watch (iirc)3(?) I had a few years ago, it's less trying to be another phone on your wrist, and more focused on health and fitness, but it does the smartwatch stuff competently and the battery lasts **way** longer. Only thing I still miss is turn-by-turn walking directions from maps.
