   Sad to hear about #Firefish, but it's something to keep in mind.
   
   If one person is keeping a project alive and is unable to build a long term, sustainable team around the project, relying only on that individual, that project is fragile.
   
   Apropos of nothing, I'd love if I could build a long term, sustainable team around #owncast, if this sparks your interest at all! If I get hit by a bus tonight, Owncast is dead tomorrow.

     @gabek I think about this all the time for Kitten, Domain, and the Small Web. Can’t wait for paid signups when Domain goes live for that reason. But without funding we do what we can with what we have and make sure to look both ways before crossing the street.

     @gabek Maybe it'd be good to make a collection of all the stuff that "only Gabe knows" and make some kind of devolution plan for each of them. Happy to help with that. I've gone through this process myself recently.
