  How Should We Celebrate OSM's 20th Birthday?
  
  I’m writing this in my capacity as a member of the CWG: As most of you know, August 9, 2024 is the 20th anniversary of OpenStreetMap, and many of us are thinking a version of the same question: How will we celebrate? We know there will be cakes and meet-ups, but this seems like an important anniversary that might call for a bigger celebration.   I've added a few ideas to the forum: A project to try and close as many old notes as possible #OldNotesOSM

    If you know how to code, but not where, may I suggest you look into contribution to iD, the web client for editing #OpenStreetMap? Lots of people spend a ton of time using #iD to make this "open source" map better for everyone! But development of iD is going slow, and there's so much time wasted by all the editors on things that could be done better and faster, if the editor had more contributors to help fix issues. You could look at my issues, for example :) https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/issues/created_by/forteller
