Have yet to meet a Mormon that believes that salvation is by faith alone on the finished work of Jesus Christ, I've knocked on the doors of a lot of them.

Most uncanny thing is when one of their elders pretended to believe everything we did but then when asked about the things we know they believe differently they just lied.
So wild, to the outside world they try to look like what would have been typical 1850s Baptists, but on the inside they're another thing entirely.

Thanks for that explanation. I never knew that. It makes sense that there customs are works required for their religion. Sad. They seem pretty cool

They have a large variance in rules and their beliefs, but I have never heard of a "faith alone" Amish or Mennonite community. Maybe one exists but I have never heard of one.
They have the same "you have to be in the church and do what the elders say, the Bible is in old German and nobody understands it" basically Latin mass (retarded)
They believe that a physical baptism is required to go to heaven, and that you will only be allowed to be baptized if youre "Amish enough"
And if you use technology then you're no longer going to heaven until you've been forgiven by the church.
No eternal security. It's a works based false religion that blasphemes the holy name of Christ.

Just another man made religion.
Amish look good from the outside too but they're works salvationists just like them.
Every false religion has "it's by works" - every religion on the planet besides the one true God and true religion, the Lord God of the Bible.

100 percent. I did not know that about the Amish actually

Saddest part is they are based self sufficient Whites mostly. Least round here.
Mark Twain eviscerated the Book of Mormon in a way that will make you lol. I believe it was in Roughing It... His take down of the book of Mormon was worth reading for the laughs
The White Salamander scam was another funny incident

@ThatMushroom @robbie @tyler >"they all had small little truths revealed to them."
I don't even disagree with that, but it's foolish because the frameworks are all corrupted by design. It's far easier to lead people astray with an appealing lie built on partial truths than a bald faced lie with no substance (that comes later).

I was told by a Mormon that the thief on the cross was reincarnated because he wasn't baptized yet

Insanity, evil inventions of the damned.

And she even admitted that their religion is based on picking pieces of other religions around the world, "they all had small little truths revealed to them."
By the way this was a trained missionary too, not some know-nothing, "weak in the faith" Mormon spewing her own ideas.
