     I agree.
     I was not making a serious suggestion, should have put the sarcasm tag. /s:
     OFC people should leave those states, if they can.

     I really don't see much point to live in these MAGA states anymore and even if you are a white straight male.

     It can happen to mostly any female family member of theirs, too. Pregnancies are dangerous per se, and if you cannot get staye-of-the art medical attention anymore, e.g. in #Texas, well...

     @HistoPol @GottaLaff I understand the "let them secede" impulse, but it's important to think about the millions of kids--especially queer ones--and poor people who would be trapped there under a brutal regime with no way out. I grew up queer in a state that was very red at the time. It's hell. And I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

     @HistoPol @textualdeviance @GottaLaff Although, if Texas did secede, we could hope it would be quickly re-annexed by Mexico and Abbott arrested for crimes against humanity.

     Yep.
     Apart from one person who is not a Dem and should be retired for physical (substance abuse) and mental-health (megalomania) reasons: #Elmo. (He's trying to move #Tesla's HQ from sensible #Delaware to insane #Texas.)

     Also: the #ClimateCrisis will make the summer climate unbearable for most seniors, IMO.
