   @JulietEMcKenna I note that Piers Paul Reid resigned over the 40 under 40 idea - he who became a fellow aged about 31.... resigned for people going out looking to see if there were others of a similar ability.

     Given the massively inaccurate press reports about the Society of Authors, I read recent stuff about the Royal Society of Literature with considerable scepticism.
