This wasn't even a shitpost. Checked the liner notes of Dark Tranquillity's Exposures in Retrospect and Denial, and there we are. Fucking Hegel.
I'm currently at the "so this is what's going to get me into modern philosophy" stage of funding lectures and reading lists.
(To be fair, I'm pretty solid on ancient Mediterranean philosophy, okay on the Islamic Golden Age, and had just finished a lecture series on Mediaeval philosophy of Western and Central Europe, so it could be argued that I was looking for an excuse.)
