     @kaia kingston, transcend as far as flash memory is concerned. WD seems ok too but i don't trust them too much.

     @kaia @hj For SSDs Samsung, Crucial, WD. HDDs Toshiba almost exclusively and WD. Seagate is garbage and mess up a simple thing like SMART.
     
     Never buy Kingston SSDs. They are cheap, but have no DRAM cache and are slower than HDDs under heavy load.
