It's clear that #diaries from the 1930s and 1940s are valuable. They are personal and mundane traces of a history we now know to be tremendously significant.

The unfolding breakdown of international order and morality in the 2020s will be seen as similarly momentous by future generations. They will ask the same question we ask of the people living through the 1930s:

"How could they have let it happen?"

Keep a #diary. It will help future generations answer that question.
