many of us on here have benefitted tremendously over the last year from the tireless efforts of the person behind the mighty Radio Free Fedi
all of their work over the last year building RFF was uncompensated. that is no longer sustainable for them
i'd like to ask 2 things of the fedi music community:

wow! you all did some amazing work overnight! in the last 24 hours this fundraiser has gone from 61% completed to 69% completed 🙀🙀🙀🏆🏆🏆 (nice)
eagle-eyed observers will note that this means that the RFF fundraiser still has 31% to go to reach its funding goal
quick math: NZ $6,500 * .31 = NZ $2,015 remaining = US $1,235 = €1,140. THIS IS EXTREMELY DOABLE

it occurs to me that we could end the Radio Free Fedi fundraiser *right now* if a single reasonably well-off patron decided to fund the entire rest of the fundraiser. it's only US $1,235! that's a lot of money for us, a married pair of working artists ... but i know for a fact that there is a HUGE crossover on here between extremely well-paid tech people and passionate music-makers whose work has gotten significant exposure on RFF.
so there's the challenge for the afternoon. is this you??

100% of funds raised go to help support the person who runs RFF. he made it FROM SCRATCH and it has become the coolest thing on the fediverse. and now we are raising money to help give back, say thanks, and ensure continued RFF development and artist onboarding!

we started the day at 61%; we're already at 65% 🙀
the fundraiser is to support J, the nearly-completely-anonymous human (but also dear friend) who *singlehandedly* runs RFF
just think for a moment about how much sheer JOY radio free fedi has brought into your life over the past year
