     Found it, "Pipeline" = they were hooked up to a fake polygraph and asked questions
     "Anonymous" = they filled out an anonymous questionnaire
     "Exposure threat" = asked questions like it was a normal interview
     
     This was conducted on a college campus in 2004, and you had women go from lying about having 2 partners, to admitting they had 4 (on average) after being hooked up to a fake polygraph.

     @synapsid @Dicer I've read this too, I was gonna say the same thing that for women you'd need to double it and men almost halve it to get the most accurate results

     I will try to find it but I remember a study showing that women's self reported sex partners increased almost 2x when they believed they were connected to a polygraph, and men's decreased by about 30%.
     Take any self reported stat and double it and you're probably close to the reality on the ground.

     I fully trust guys to do so.
