a note about jobs: you should apply to EVERYTHING you want and let the hiring manager decide if you’re not the right fit for it. give them a chance to make that decision, don't make it yourself in advance. I promise many people apply with far fewer qualifications.

lenazun (lzg@mastodon.social)'s status on Tuesday, 30-Jan-2024 03:06:37 JST lenazun when I have been a hiring manager and an applicant does not fit what I need I think "oh interesting! sadly not the right fit for this job" and I promise you I have never, ever thought "who's this delusional person applying for this position? how dare they?!". you're not wasting my time I get paid for this.

lenazun (lzg@mastodon.social)'s status on Tuesday, 30-Jan-2024 03:06:37 JST lenazun that said, don't apply for a job you don't want. don't tell me on an interview you actually wanted that other job but you weren't called for it and are hoping to somehow convince me you're a great fit.
