   The US Navy has once again lowered its enlistment standards, this time removing the high school diploma or GED requirement.

     @mk beats me. Probably all that talk about White supremacist being the greatest danger to the nation, when it's just a false narrative. Perhaps it's all the false narratives about racism that's just meant to divide us as a people and we're just not playing anymore. I'd love to discuss this further but I haven't had my coffee yet and then I'm going to watch your video. Thanks much.

     @Marshall Sutherland (Posting with Hubzilla) we've had this conversation before and like you once told me many people observing how US foreign policy is fixated on fighting forever wars, in an expeditionary manner, with no real motivation or relationship to defend and protect our homeland, just refuse to be cannon fodder for the exploits of corrupt politicians or bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.

     I can think of a couple reasons why recruitment is down. I have no doubt that the percentage of recruitment-aged kids who can meet the physical fitness requirements has steadily dropped for decades. If I were that age, I'd be looking at the conflicts of the past 20 years (and the ones our leaders seem to want to get us into) and questioning whether any of them were worth dying for.
