   It's an eyebrow raiser, because the award has people wondering whether there is any real inter agency communication at the United Nations nowadays.

   During Ethiopia's civil war in Tigray (2020-2022), UN humanitarian agencies accused Abiy Ahmed of weaponizing starvation as a weapon of war, by implementing a humanitarian siege and denying six million people access to food and medical supplies. The siege and atrocities are said to have killed up to half a million people.

     Eyebrow raiser:

     Today, the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), a UN agency specializing in food security and nutrition, honored Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed with the FAO Agricola Medal, at a ceremony at their Rome HQ. The award was said to be for Abiy's "contribution to rural and economic development in Ethiopia for his personal support to the Wheat for Food Self-Sufficiency program, as well as Ethiopia’s Green Legacy Initiative that was in line with FAO’s Green Cities Initiative."
