You'd fully expect #Netanyahu to play dirty after the #ICJ verdict, but this is particularly nasty: 24h after the verdict, alleging #UNWRA [#UnitedNations Relief &Works Agency] employees in #Palestine are #Hamas terrorists, leading to their dismissal, thus seeking to undermine all #UN institutions & discredit UN impartiality. The #US & #UK immediately suspended funding to UNWRA, preferring a #humanitarian catastrophe & risking #genocide complicity over basic factchecking.

Ronial (ronial@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 28-Jan-2024 18:53:43 JST Ronial I think they are beyond the stage of "risking #genocide complicity". They just are accomplices (and maybe even more because they know well what they are doing, they're fully aware & active).

Chris Gunness, utterly #British former chief spokesman for #UNRWA, blasting #Sunak's government decision to suspend funding of the #UN agency. https://www.channel4.com/news/uk-halting-aid-to-unrwa-is-wholly-disproportionate-and-punitive-former-un-agency-spokesman-saysIn conversation permalink Attachments
