@burner A Moscow Mule is vodka and lime, topped with ginger beer. But vodka absolutely sucks. I greatly prefer the mezcal mule, which is mezcal and vodka, and topped with ginger beer. Mezcal (or tequila) works well here because it already pairs with the lime, and the lime+ginger is the more important flavor combination in this drink, making the Mezcal Mule a Real and True thing.

Now a Margarita is tequila (or mezcal), lime, and triple-sec (orange). You'll notice the base of mezcal+lime is the same as the Mezcal Mule. It just has triple-sec instead of ginger beer.

So now ask yourself, does orange go with ginger? If the answer is yes (it is), then it actually goes together perfectly.

The drink is a fusion of the Margarita and the Mezcal Mule, two things which have the ability to be joined. A person would only think they can't go together if they don't know the components of each drink.

So your claim that this is not good has been defeated by facts and logic. Your case has been debunked. The Margarita Mule is victorious.

@burner Did you, or did you not know, prior to this conversation, that the Margarita contains tequila, lime, and TRIPLE-SEC?

I bet you thought it was tequila, lime, and some magic unknown liquid. Perhaps a blend of whatever million things is in the "margarita mix" at the store.

Everything can be broken down to it's base components. Everything can be understood. The Margarita was invented by Man, and he can also invent the Margarita Mule.
