As part of my #podcasting I've stopped paying for #Spreaker and switched to a basic account, instead paying for #Castopod which I enabled the capability of feeding to other podcast sources and channels across the internet. However, I'm still getting those fed more by Spreaker itself, for free, and Castopod doesn't seem to be pumping my episodes through to anywhere else despite me setting it up to. Anyone know why this might be? Is the main benefit of #Castpod just the #Fediverse integration? #AskFedi #podcast

I'd planned to make the shift from Spreaker to Castopod, which is what I imported my feed and previous episodes into. So this is quite confusing haha! I'm clearly missing something. I really had hoped Castopod would just be pumping them out into the podcast engines but only Spreaker is still doing that, even though I cancelled my paid subscription and switched to Castopod instead!

Josh B (joshb@twit.social)'s status on Saturday, 27-Jan-2024 12:19:06 JST Josh B @MediaActivist You would have to put the new feed as a redirect into Spreaker. Your original feed is still there but it doesn't see any new episodes as it doesn't know they're there.
