The PockerEthernet is still a fantastic tool, it's just too fragile for field work. That said, the LinkIQ is pretty good too.... just 20X the price of the Pock…
Most importantly, neither of them blow up with passive PoE, nor 4-pair PoE.

@feld They couldn't assure me that passive PoE wouldn't set it on fire.
@feld sure, but I need to test 4-pair 54V lines feeding things like AirFiber, for example.
I've got one ultra-cheapo, which gives measurements, but not correct analysis - this is only 2-pair 24V Passive:
@feld and in early/mid 2023, supply of ethernet testers was low, the notion of paying a lot, waiting months, only to blow it up on qualification testing... not appealing.
Then I landed a gig where the customer demanded 10G over copper, so it was worth buying.
That said, I'm recommending 10G over copper for a VERY VERY VERY long time; only use might be for WAPs. Otherwise just use glass.
@feld I appear to have a word there, yes.
Pre-fab is pretty much the only way I’m willing to do 10G on copper. Either CAT6A or DACs. Otherwise GTFO. It's not worth it.
