     @kirby It’s not hard at all and at this point there’s very little jank to deal with. Though there is still some especially if you want to be autistic with your VMs and customize them to fit your every autistic pleasure.

     Seriously though they’re mostly just long as fuck.

     @kirby Depends. I took the configs that virt-manager made for me and customized them myself because I couldn’t be bothered to build from the ground up.

     If you’re just looking to make some shitposting VMs or something else basic I’d say yes. If you’re looking to do more advanced things especially passthrough I’d say no, especially considering I tried to turn my gaming VM full commandline once and failed.

     YMMV I’d say ultimately.

     @anonymous I just need some vms that can do networking and serve shit up, nothing too fancy here. I'm pretty sure qemu will make it easy for me just because it's not a horrible clusterfuck of complicated tasks I want to accomplish

     @kirby Yeah I don’t see many issues there. I have had issues creating bridges and passing the internet through completely (macvtap and similar) but that was mostly incompetence about networking and ifconfig I’d wager. If you don’t need particularly fast internet (as in close to if not native) then using a NAT is fine and worked out of the box for me.

     @kirby Oh and it’s a NIC, not a NAT. Or maybe it’s both, I don’t know. Networking is not my strongest area.
