   I really don't understand how Jackie Chan went from beloved Hong Kong action star to CPC stooge, especially when you consider all the exposure he had in Hollywood.

   Or perhaps he did a 180 *because* of the Hollywood exposure? 🤔

     @houfu I can't imagine the CPC giving him any meaningful amount of money vs the amount he's already made. It's interesting considering how stars get cancelled from being out of line with CPC's "ethical values" while Jackie Chan has had affairs and other accusations but is still solidly in their good books.

     Maybe there is a bit of blackmail both ways...
