So I'm curious to know what everyone else's experiences are like with normies. I'm in a fairly red area in a pretty red state and "literal murdoch murdoch caricature" is the only way I can describe it.

It's either literal dick sucking faggots who wear drag, or it's r/thedonald and his jujucum with no in between. Is it like this for anyone else or was I killed and am currently living in hell without knowing?

@veff Your average normie is like Charlie Brown still trying to kick the football 50 years later. You can explain it to them, get them so far, then they go right back to where they were soon after. They don't think or analyze, just absorb what's in front of them, which is why you can't compete with the firehose of disinfo that is the TV or censored social media.

@PoalackJokes88 This wasn't a problem for me while I worked overseas though. Europoors consoom about the same amount of zogslop television and they rarely talk politics. I think in the 30 months I was over there, four people would talk seriously about politics during normal social gatherings.

@veff A lot of americans are like that too though. There's some that talk politics but it's always the most low-tier stuff, the kind you'd get on Fox News on the right or late night talk shows on the left. But a lot of people refuse to talk politics at all. It's a conversation-ender.

@veff There's the old leftist slogan, "the personal is the political". They've driven it into every sphere, because they have to keep pushing, and that leads to a counter-reaction on the other side. It's just how it is. Just say, "I don't really follow politics." and leave it at that.

@PoalackJokes88 I wish I lived in that kind of culture. I deliberately avoid talking politics because I see enough of it online, but apparently nobody else can take the hint. I think it's because a lot of lifestyles became inherently political. Gun hobbyists, vidya, virtually any escapism.
