   I see this saying all the time and I think it's flawed. The second sentence I don't have a problem with, but to say that there's not also a left/right divide there, I think is to misunderstand the nature of the left/right divide.

   See, the left prioritizes the well being of those on the bottom. They want to end the hierarchy. The right prioritizes the well being of those on top. They want to uphold the hierarchy. If you are on the bottom, or care for those on the bottom, you should be a leftist.

     Centrism is not the answer, it upholds the status quo which benefits those on top just as much as the right does.

     Also, allying with the right never works, even with those who happen to also be on the bottom of the hierarchy. Because they don't see themselves as being on the bottom, they think they are temporarily embarrassed millionaires who belong on top. Also, a lot of them are fascists. Don't ally with fascists.

     Anyone who attempts to drop in the "neither left nor right" canard is automatically assumed by me to be either a right-wing "populist" for "socialism for White conservatives ONLY", or a very confused centrist.

     The Left is for ending ALL hierarchies. The Right is only for switching out who enslaves us. The Left defends marginalized people; the Right simply either exploits them further or kills them.
