   I love #KDrama #CDrama folks in the Fediverse.
   In other fan places people insist you must not "spread negativity" by saying negative things about a show or actor. I have even been warned not to post "things like this" or "you get what you deserve".
   If I don't like a show I will very well say it. And if I think an actor's performance needs work, I will state it without prejudice.
   I rarely do this, but I find fandom gatekeeping annoying & am so glad it doesn't happen here.

     @Kaetchi yea it can be anxiety provoking at times. And I even mod a 50k Reddit sub for CDramas - it is thankless work. Each time an actors name is brought up (whether positively or negatively) I brace for the fan fights that almost always happen right after 😂

     @bookstardust thanks for not killing me hahah. Just kidding, I know you are level headed.
     I am just disturbed how people feel personally attacked when you don't like their fav actor or drama. Says a lot of society! I no longer engage in discussions for certain dramas or actors because of this (even tho I personally want to haha)

     @liztai i totally lover "Love between fairy and the devil" because of several reasons and some of them were personal, but i can totally understand how you could not enjoy the Drama.

     @liztai i feel the whole gatekeeping makes discussions rather boring. Also the discussions are so weird sometimes, because a lot of it is idol focused, so how exactly is that a good argument, when a show gets pushed up in the ratings just because there is an idol in it?
     Dramas have so much more depth. And it's not a bad thing to discuss pro/contra points of a Drama in a rational empathetic manner.

     @bougiewonderland yea I am with ya, which is why I find the toxicity in cdrama fandom stress inducing! Cdrama and Kdrama folks at Mastodon are very lovely 😍

     @liztai Conversations get dull when everyone is always in agreement. As long as everyone is just chatting, who cares if they have a different opinion? Some people love Vegemite and some hate it—it doesn’t mean that either of them are wrong or that one group hates the other!

     I dislike fandom purity so much. We can dislike things without being a shit-stirrer!
