     this reminds me how I walked the Tenderloin on the regular when I visited SF for work, including walking right through a friendly drug deal due to Jetlag confusion; and a Saturday afternoon walk with a (white-as-they-come, just like me) colleague who almost had a breakdown and forced us through a half hour detour because he couldn't control his fear.
