Mike Masnick ✅ (mmasnick@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 19-Jan-2024 04:04:54 JST Mike Masnick ✅ @afif the proposed ballot initiative (routing around the legislature) would allow people to sue social media for up to a million dollars for anything bad they can loosely connect to social media. Eating disorder? Sue! Depressed? Sue! Bullied? Sue! Etc. Would lead to a big mess, and the initiative literally says that legislature can only ratchet up penalties, never decrease them.
