     I get it that having stuff in physical is really nice and all... But when i see something like that i get 2 things:
     1-This person just consooms whatever is trendy for status buying overpriced stuff and probably complains about capitalism/landlords being greed/the economy being fucked because of rightoids.
     2-The owner of all that stuff probably lets black dudes ejaculate inside his wife/gf or is in an open relationship and he doesn't get any

     If you have a really old computer, you may want to see if it has any value. Bootable amigas are worth a bit, and collectors will pay a fair amount for early, working x86 machines.

     I just cleaned out some crap in the basement and found a pretty astounding collection of physical games and dvds. What the crap am I going to do with them? I don't really want to get rid of them but I don't know thta anything I have still plays them.

     Also, old debateably functioning computers. I'm sure there junk on them I'd like to keep but *poof* it's gone.

     @Humpleupagus I'm all about having physical media and all, but this nigga has a ballsload of the obscenely expensive mint cardboard boxes facing out on display taking up as much room as possible.
     
     I could see having a couple of them I guess if they were a game or a cover I really liked, but I have a hundred more important things to spend my money on first.

     I actually just set up an identical dell tower to use as backup. I figure I can just swap drives and edit fstab if there's a failure in the main rig.
     
     Servers on the otherhand make me a bit nervous. If you're running in raid 5 or 6, rebuild can take weeks depending on the the size of the virtual drive, and that's a lot of stress on the drives. Even rebuilding a raid 10 can take days — it's usually faster to run in raid zero and use regular rsyncs, and swap if shit gets borked.

     @Humpleupagus @Squadalah_Man For the bulk media (Linux isos) I'd probably run mergerfs+snapraid, so if a second drive dies during a rebuild, I just have to re-download 10tb worth torrents. I generally try to keep the arrays smaller so rebuilds aren't as big of a concern, although anything actually irreplaceable is duplicated in about a dozen different places.
