     @vriska left wingers are back to bitching about this again because twitter unilaterally banned some left wing activist accounts. after musk bought twitter the white house flipped completely to "we need legislation to prevent critical communication channels like twitter being bought and subverted". everybody on every side has flipped on this at least twice.

     @Moon @vriska As someone who actually NEEDS a Facebook account to know when my area is on a boil water notice or under a burn ban, I can understand the sentiment. I thought that argument was unsound until I drank dirty water for 2 days because the announcement was on a Facebook page :aquaDisgust:

     @Tepid_Tapir @vriska I don't have a coherent legal plan for how it should be done but public services should be legally required to provide open-access communications channels. Having communication only on Facebook should be a violation of the law.
