   Let your batteries warm up for a while before charging them. Charging a lithium ion battery when it's close to or below freezing will damage it, permanently reducing its capacity.

   HOT TIP:
   Best to charge between 10 to 27 C (50 to 80 F), never below freezing.

     i bet every salesperson told that to buyers of electric vehicles.

     none if them will get mad when they fuck up their batteries in the winter.
