noone wants to feel like the sole retard in the class, its fucking terrible. thats just my annecdote.

even if it is true.
ideally for those who are just less abled in leaening special education is good but schools probably cant afford (or justify the costs even if they can ) to give asistance to the few retards they have to look after. i lucked out with that i was somewhat good at math and communication was my only issue so having learning assistant kinda kept me on track was helpful.

  @tiskaan @Arcana @7666 @eris @40 @anemone I don't have a solution to the problem. but it's absolutely weird to use "unfairness" and "worse education" as a reason for integration when integration is unfair and delivers worse education for every other student. I assume though if I said this to an advocate they would just deny reality.

  @tiskaan @Arcana @7666 @eris @40 @anemone The argument I accept for why segregation is bad is that if you stick all the learning disabled kids in a different class or school, it becomes easy to neglect them. I am an absolute proponent of giving learning disabled kids separate and high-quality specialized teaching.

  i was lucky i got the support that i needed to get me on track academically. too well infact , but they didnt really help me on the social side lol.
  
  im gonna have to stop talking abo&t this stuff because now im starting to become resentful about school and shit lol

Intelligence for people with Downs Syndrome can vary considerably and a few kids might do fine in regular classes while others definitely wont

  @tiskaan @Arcana @7666 @eris @40 @anemone the argument that boys and girls should be segregated is only partially true. boys and girls generally have different learning styles that disadvantage the other but not nearly always and the exceptions don't deserve to get lumped into the wrong group by strict gender separation. it's not really about gender at all except that you can make rough generalizations by it.

  if i had a retarded child i'd homeschool them 100%
  but i think a lot of their parents know this and dont love them either... rather dont want to deal with them... sad, i get how that is with mine
