   I wonder what is the best way to handle following an ap actor from the podcastindex.org website. I'd love to have an easy way to follow a podcast in your AP feed (whatever that is) from the podcast's PI page, but not sure how to accomplish that since there is no such thing as an #ActivityPub follow protocol scheme.

   Seems very similar to what @nathan has been fighting for years with podcast protocol schemes.

     @dave @nathan There are two proposals: Fedilinks and FEP-07d7. I'm not sure which one is better, but as far as I know Fedilinks has more independent implementations

     @nathan @dave This webpage dialog works well. There is a fair amount of already-existing work about this; notably, this version a) auto-completes from a list somewhere; b) cookies the result so next time it never bothers asking you.

     I did find a few relatively simple ones on Github, but naturally can’t find one right now! I bet it’s possible to write the whole thing in JavaScript… perhaps I should have a go for the Podnews podcast pages.

     @dave If you do this as a popup, no one else will be able to link to their show/episode easily, which would be a real shame.

     When visited from a web browser, the AP Bridge should serve a simple webpage copying the Mastodon Follow UX.

     Maybe time to go all in and just do a popup page on the website that gives links to all the podcast apps plus the AP handle, etc, etc.
