   The Trump conspiracy theorists are happy to believe the US state has ranged itself against their guy. Why are they not worried that the US state will just engineer an accidental trip out a high window? That would surely be a lot easier to arrange than a dozen separate court cases.

     I really don't understand why they don't do that.

     Given it's Putin's favourite tactic they could frame him for it.

     Just leak that Trump was going to give evidence on Russian influence in return for immunity.

     The GOP would be forced to back Ukraine as a proxy for direct action against Russia.

     Two turkeys with one shove, and everyone wins except the orange oligarch.
