   @jackofalltrades not sure if the design is supposed to scale to modern airplane size but taking the commercial mission at face value its current size seems to be targeting the very upper end of the private jet market: the trillionaire club that needs to move quickly and silently between corporate headquarters and bunkers :-)

     I find it interesting that "making commercial supersonic flight possible" is part of NASA's mission.

     The plane will be fully electric, carbon-neutral, I'm sure. It's not like scientists and engineers from NASA forgot we're in a climate emergency.
