I played some "Pioneers of Pagonia", which is the new game in development by the original author of "The Settlers", Volker Wertich. It is essentially the same game. It runs well (no crashes), and the basic game loop is there and works alright. There's not much of a 'game' yet, you can tell that they still need to figure out the details, but you can already waste unlimited hours with it while doing something else, like listening to podcasts. If they manage to create some good and interesting missions this will be the best settlers game since Settlers 3. -

@lain It's fantastic! It's a city builder with a roguelite twist: you have a limited number of days to explore a map, building colonies at every step. Each colony building is a 1-2h city builder run where you have to adapt to the resources available with the building available in this run.
