   @RustyCrab @Coyote I only buy Sandisk Extreme USB3 sticks for my small Linux computers and they work pretty good.

     @Coyote I don't need it to be as fast as a real nvme just not abysmally slow like normal. The sandisk extremes seem okay if what they claim is truen

     @RustyCrab I've seen 2.5" drives that had micro 3 / USB-C ports and thumb drives pushing a terabyte, but I don't think I've seen a thumb drive with a volatile cache. It'd have to have a battery big enough to flush the whole thing seeing as how common it is for people to rip them out as soon as possible. Someone probably makes a USB to NVMe enclosure, though I'd be skeptical of its performance.

     Is there such a thing as an external SSD in the form factor of a thumb drive? I basically need a thumb drive but without the shit performance and a proper cache.
