    CONGRATULATIONS #ELISIA YOU DID IT!

    The first contestant secured to debut in the upcoming new girl group #PRISM.

    If you followed her, there is zero doubt she deserves it. She's an all-rounder. She can reach the notes they ask of her. She understands what music producers want and gave them the result the first try.

    She can rap. She got the visuals. She can dance. Even her fellow contestants felt her very strong presence.

    Even if she is not the center of the girl group, she still will be the focus.

    She's a magnet.

    I've said it before, I'll say it again, #ElisiaPalmisano should debut as a solo #Kpop idol because she will dominate the girl group.

    * Elisia is the next #BoA.
    * Elisia is the next #IU.
    * Elisia is the next #Suzy.
    * Elisia is the next #KimSeJeong.

      @phryk Good question!

      Based on (1) common discussions from fans; and (2) some former K-pop idols who had a chance to try the P-pop idol industry; yes.

      The Department of Labour and Employment is active in protecting the workforce. And the Philippine Labour Laws were made to protect and side with the labourer, not the employers.

      For example, if there is a stipulation in the contract that places the labourer at a disadvantage and/or is against the labour code, the contract is null and void.

      They also are not asked to surrender their phones, or to stay at dorms 24/7. They do are constantly reminded what they can and cannot do, especially with their online accounts. Their personal accounts remain theirs, employers cannot ask for access. However, they can agree that the personal account won't be used because they'll create a promotion account and their manager will manage it; until such a time they can be trusted not to make a mistake.

      If they can come to trainings without being late, they can live elsewhere. Otherwise, they can choose to stay at a provided place.

      At least those are the ones I'm familiar with. Basically, P-pop idols are under the same labour laws and practices first; any other specific conditions are added on top of that.

      @youronlyone Are the work conditions for pop idols in the Philippines at least less dehumanizing than in South Korea? Because that stuff is, like, borderline slave labor. :F

      @phryk Oh, another thing, they do get the same level of singing / voice trainings as professional non-idol singers (regular P-pop).

      We don't have singing and/or voice training for idols, and another for professional. It's all professional only. ^_^

      It is why Elisia, and Gehlee Dangca, were always praised for their singing and voice quality in Universe Ticket. They were trained to sing professionally.

      ^_^

      @youronlyone Thanks for the in-depth info. Doesn't sound like a lifestyle I'd want, but definitely better than what I've heard about conditions with the big k-pop corporations. :)

      @phryk Yep.

      I hope they survive in the K-pop idol style of training. It's going to be very different from what they're used to here in the Philippines.
