    How I memorize Chinese characters. First, I memorise a component, then if 2 or more components form a word, I create a story of how they came together. For example, for 好, which is made of 女 (nǚ, woman) and 子 (zĭ, child), I imagine a mother-in-law saying that a man with a woman and a child is a good thing 🤭.
    I do encounter difficulties with less familiar words tho. May have to depend more on memory palace techniques in the future for those.

      @swanksalot Repetition doesn't help me at all, for some reason 😑 So I have to do all this just to get some kinda foothold

      @liztai I found that repetition helped me to learn characters but creating a story helps sometimes.
