   @jo Really? Didn't know that. Interesting, and I don't understand why forks are hated.

   I didn't even hear about #Iceshrimp #Catodon and #Sharkey until a few days ago. (Well, for Catodon, I was aware of the Instance, but I didn't realise it's a fork.)

   I don't know. For me, forks are good. Let's see what enhancements and features devs can come up with. Maybe it can be implemented upstream, or existing forks (or yet another new one), implement the same enhancements and features. So, generally, it's a good thing.

   And, well, options for end-users. I think that's the most important one.

     Remember when #Iceshrimp was a 'hate-fork'. 🙄 I won't be shilling for #sharkey the way I did for #calckey. I'm glad folks in other parts of the #fediverse called me out. In time, their gut feels about the vibe and direction of what became #firefish bore out. Tbh I don't think anyone could shill Sharkey like Atomicpoet & Kainoa shilled Firefish. Please don't prove me wrong though.
