   reading the life stories of guys who came up in the 50s-70s is like a window into a different world. a lot of them were lucky in that they met the right people at the right time who gave them the right opportunities, but since then an entire system has been developed to make sure men like that are stuck working night shift at a gas station instead of revolutionizing an industry
