   So glad I sharpened my knives before Christmas and keep a really sharp edge. I just dropped my sharpest one and out of reflex grabbed it. No pain at all. Blood everywhere obviously, but no pain at all

     @BethanyBlack youch! Standing instruction at home is, when anything sharp is falling get bodily parts out of the way in a hurry. Goes against our instincts, so harder to implement than lay out…
     Also, that painless phase is a facade! Keep the paracetamols handy!
