Folks: why is it not year of Linux on desktop?
Me: *setting up a printer*
(And before anyone asks, yeah, I tried it through GNOME/the graphical settings app. This is the only thing that worked, using a legacy driver that I had to scroll though a list of thousands of entries to find.)

  @aral that's a not-too-shabby Postscript-emulating network enabled printer. Sure you didn't configure anything in a fancy way? Should be super straightforward.
