   It is essential to stop using Chrome.

   Under the pretense of saving users from third-party spyware, Google is creating an ecosystem in which Chrome itself is the spyware.

   Given Google's overwhelming presence in the browser market, this is unconscionable.

   We should all despise the ad-tech business, and have no sympathy for the companies getting whacked by Google's actions. But we should not permit one monopolist to replace them all.

     @bikemonterey I once placed on my sites: “Works best on Firefox.” It was when I found one old feature of HTML and CSS that doesn't work correct with Chromium-based browsers: Asian #Ruby.

     It took them, like, 3–4(?) years to fix it, and that was when I removed it.

     I'm trying to find a new one I can use as a reason to put it back. LOL.

     @dangillmor For years we've objected when state and local public agencies and their contractors— supposedly seeking public input—create sites that work "best on Chrome." ;P
