    The biggest single issue with the Democratic Party is that they have been reduced to the essence of its corporate donors, its paid corporate-backed consultants, and the wealthiest and most privileged of its "liberal" interest groups; that is what drives them to forever lurch further Right while claiming enough plausible denialability to pretend to cosplay the "liberal" wing of corporatist capitalism.

      Likewise, the single biggest issue with the Republican Party is that they are now reduced to the essence of *their* most right-wing corporate donors, their billionaire-paid corporate backed consultants, & the wealthiest and most privileged "conservative" interest groups;

      but unlike the Democrats, they actually have a built in "populist" institution, the Religious Right church network, to pump up the White Nationalist Supremacy they need to augment their Ayn Rand "libertarianism" at the polls.

      Because of their lockdown control of many states, especially in the South & Midwest, & their control of the Federal judicial system, especially the SCOTUS majority & much of the appealate courts, the Right/GOQP has disproportionate power to enforce & impose their right-wing social rule & "libertarian" economics onto the majority.

      While Democrats talk plenty smack about the threat of "GOQP fascism", they have done damn little to challenge the social Right at any level; national, state, or local.

      @AnthonyJK they do what liberalism does: playing friendly with fascists, and playing the friendly fascist. it's not an accident. it's a result of a nation state built on proto-fascism.

      It's almost as if Democrats and liberals are more willing to draw themselves back into the "safety" of their "blue states" or move out of the country altogether, while leaving and abandoning most of their former working class/poor/queer voter base to suffer the full wrath of GOQP/Right rule elsewhere.

      And that's even before we get into the universal Democrat establishment support for and full financing of Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing of the "Occupied Territories" of Palestine.

      Democrats want all the credit for "smashing American fascism" in decleating the initial Trumpster Putsch, and to crown themselves the only true "Arsenal of Democracy" against the next Republican/Trumpster attempt; but they also want to continue the regressive lurch to the Right that they have committed to since 1980, which was briefly interrupted by Bernie Sanders' two campaigns in 2016 and 2020 which they ultimately foiled and completely assimilated, and now proceeds in full haste unchallenged.

      That's why they have no choice but to ride with Biden, even with his advanced age and his....occasional gaffes, and they attempt to intimidate and blast Indy Leftists and their now less significant voter base into submission, so that they can gentrify their voter base with wealthier soccer moms, old school Rizzo/Adams crime busting conservative Democrats, war hawkish "neoconservatives", ZioNazi "liberals", and the more "moderate" accomodationist wing of the integrationist liberals.

      And, in order to maintain their faint and fading connection to the "Obama coalition", they need pliable and effective "progressive" screeds (Buttigieg for the LGBTQ+, Copmala for Black women, Eric Adams for the Black Giuliani/Rizzo vote, Hillary for the "YazKween" feminists) to push the "Biden or Trumpster: NO OTHER CHOICE!!" nonsense.
